    India will continue to dominate KPO sector: Report

     

    India will remain to be at the forefront of the development of knowledge process outsourcing or KPO industry for the foreseeable future.  A number of other viable KPO sourcing hubs have emerged in the Asia-Pacific region.  The potential KPO delivery locations including China, the Philippines and the Sri Lanka are unlikely to challenge India’s dominant position in the market. However, they have enabled many vendors to pursue a multi-shore strategy.

    From multiple locations means providers can offer existing clients greater flexibility and minimize the risks associated with having all their operations in one facility. While at the same time tapping into fresh labor pools.  The Knowledge Process Outsourcing is maturing and the range of services that is being provided has expanded as the market has developed.  Its initial beginning in research and analytics.  The definition of KPO was currently includes a variety of services, like as legal process outsourcing and clinical trial management.

    A major challenge facing life sciences companies is the growing cost of R&D and as a result the growing number of pharma companies are turning and offshoring as ways of reducing the costs.  The China is an attractive locations for the companies that is run and manage all phase of the clinical trial process as it offers a significant pool of the potential patients in an important emerging market.

    The Philippines along with the China is becoming an increasingly important player in the KPO market. It started to carve a niche for a number of the key areas, such as healthcare outsourcing.  For the next few years, the market is expected to grow significantly with a notable increase in the demand coming from the US as a result of the recent reforms in the healthcare regulations. The Sri Lnka focuses on the developing skills around the specific service line.  The country has a significant number of the qualified accountant that is capable in providing the kind of the high end complex tasks that is associated with the service areas like equity and credit research.  The Philippines and Sri Lanka as the viable locations for the KPO delivery has been a positive development for vendors because it has enable them to begin the offering a blend of the offshore and nearshore delivery while also giving them access to the sizeable and previously untapped talent pools.   The outsourcing is the key wherein business will be success and be strong enough in every hindrances that will face on them =.
