    Healthcare Outsourcing Attracts Indian IT Companies

     

    The outsourcing companies, it is particularly in India this is in the process of expanding the verticals to accommodate the changes in the market.  The financial services and Information Technology services are two of the most common areas in which the outsourcing companies are now focusing.  There is one Indian companies that have been slow to tap and that is healthcare outsourcing.  The healthcare outsourcing including the medical billing and medical coding is an areas that is expanding rapidly.  This may it was reported that the healthcare advisory firm Healthcare Informatics released a list of the top 10 healthcare service providers and that no Indian company appeared on the roster.  The Information Technology companies working the global sphere have seen the advantages of the tapping the healthcare sector as they have seen an increase in the revenues.

    Before a company can stretch its presence into the healthcare sector, it is important for them establish expertise in the particular domain as a healthcare requires a deeper understanding  of the nature of the business.  To mention various credentials and qualifications, including an investment has a huge return as the healthcare market is current worth $100 billion.  Some of the global Information Technology companies like Cognizant which is headquartered in the United States, it ha a background in the healthcare outsourcing since its parent company owns IMS Health.  It has been providing the healthcare Information Technology outsourcing for over ten years already, the Indian Information Technology company Infosys Technologies Ltd.  expressed interest in acquiring companies in Europe and Japan.  It is also the company’s interest towards the healthcare and the public services sectors has been raised.  From them, the Infosys Technologies Ltd, aims to perform acquisition, not solely for the reason of the growth but for the strategic purposes.  The companies are now realizing the importance of the healthcare outsourcing and how they can benefit from them.

    The other Information Technology companies that have shown the interest in the areas Infosys Technologies Ltd are eyeing are Tata Consultancy Servi8ces and Wipro Limited.  The Information Technology companies are somewhat pressed to make strategic choices as competition between Indian Information Technology compani8es and global service providers are becoming tighter.  The Information Technology solutions and service providers coming from a different region in the globe, SCIOinspire that is recently expanded to India to capitalize on the current healthcare expansion in the country.  The Information Technology company, which has anticipated the booming of the healthcare industry, acquired three healthcare companies in the United States and it has helped boost their revenues in the most recent fiscal year.  The challenge that is being faced by the SCIOinspire is the human resources.  As the industry that they currently service requires an extensive knowledge of the ins and outs of the healthcare processes, it is highly suggested for the Information Technology Healthcare companies to perform a more targeted recruitment.
