    Labour unrest in Nordic region affects outsourcing to India

     

    By the European Countries, the ripples of the inflexible labor laws and active unions which affected the information technology outsourcing are now being felt in the Nordic region.  The protest by the staff forced Handelbanken, is the leading Swedish bank, this is to award the Information Technology outsourcing contract to a local company8 after the canceling plans to award the contract to an Indian Tier-I vendor.  The Handelsbanken has issued the request for the proposal for a contact to a software vendors across the world.  This is to maintain its legacy mainframe systems and the developing software applications.

    Most of the Indian Information Technology services companies such as TCS, L&T Infotech and Wipro are participating in the bidding process.  The bank had even shortlisted two companies, this includes a Tier-I Indian software company.  The contract had nearly awarded to a Tier-I company in India.  The news leaked out to the labor union at the last minute and it created a lot of ruckus.  The bank ended up giving the contract to a local company.

    Most of the Indian Information Technology companies are considered as the Nordic region as one of the most preferred markets for the Information Technology outsourcing.  In the Nordic region, many of the enterprises outsource work to offshore vendors because of the high costs and dearth of local Information Technology firms.  Many of the companies in the Nordic region were actively looking at the Indian Information Technology outsourcing services provider to check growing costs especially due to the global downturn.

    In France, the Wipro had to succumb to the labor unrest by announcing the adequate compensation to its employees to its employees in Sophia Antipolis center where the company planned to close down division.  Indian outsourcing also faces trials in the businesses, they are affecting also with some crisis and problems in there country but they do something for it.  People know that outsourcing is the biggest trend today. Most of the people outsource inside and outside the company and country also.  This help the lives of the people,  more and more companies are outsource inside and outside the company and country as well.  The outsourcing is the best because it is a cost effective, it helps to earn money.  The Outsourcing India has been growing rapidly.  Most of the people want to be a part of the outsourcing industry.  The global Business Process Outsourcing industry is estimated to be worth.
