In perspective: The “Black Book of Outsourcing”

The black book research , is a division of the Brown and WIlson Group, conducts surveys and the reports to inform prospects, buyers investors analysts government officials, corporate executives and vendors on the states of the offshore outsourcing industry. Their report titled the year of the outsourcing dangerously ranked the top 25 riskiest and safest olffshore location. The principal of the outsourcing research firm, the brown and Wilson Group, the CIOs are putting continued on the offshore projects that were routine just a year ago and analyzing alternatives that mitigate unresolved risks.

The promising locations like the South Africa Columbia, Malaysia, Thailand and Mexico have done little in terms of the government initiatives or social change to allay client fears about their safety as an outsourcing destinations. Some of the countries with more established IT export businesses like the Philippines and Brazil have been slow to progress. With the knowledge needed to make informed decision for a new successful offshore outsourcing initiative, the study should be viewed as a guide rather than a negative publicity as it provides individuals and organizations. The offshore providers tend to focus on the strengths of their respective countries but it would be more beneficial to focus on  the strengths of their respective countries, but it would be more beneficial to focus on their weaknesses and act accordingly. The India’s tier 2 cities was once poised to take on tier 1 cities Bangalore and Mumbai, bu the Indian government failed to make the infrastructure and the other improvements necessary to help tier 2 cities in the Indian state of Kerala.

The India might have overlooked the fact that Kochi is major destination for the IT and ITES companies ranked by the NASSCOM as the second most attractive city in India for IT based services. The availability of the cheap bandwidth through the undersea cable and lower operational costs compared to the other major cities in India that has been its advantage. The Blackbook ranked Bangalore as the #1 riskiest city when it comes to uncontrolled environmental waste and pollution while Mumbai ranked first in the high terrorist or rebel target threats category. The three cities in the Philippines-Manila, Cebu and Makati ranked second in the weather and climate threats category. The weather is beyond any countries control.
